Pleasantview - Series 3 - Episode 28 - ...Christmas

Christmas Eve

Cassandra: I'm going to kill him when he get's back! What did I tell him about leaving a note!? Stupid boy!

Lilith: I'm begging you not to tell her Angela.
Angela:
Mum might be shocked at first, but she'll be pleased in the end.
Lilith:
But what if you decide to get rid of it? Mum would never let that happen once she knew.
Angela:
I wont decide to get rid of it. I'm already certain about keeping it.
Lilith:
Can't you at least wait until the new year? There's plenty of time to tell her yet.
Angela:
She needs to know now! Your not going to convince me to have an abortion Lilith, so you can stop trying!

Mary-Sue: Abortion!? Your pregnant!?
Lilith:
Mum!
Angela:
Yes, I am... and I'm going to keep it.
Mary-Sue:
Oh Angela... I won't pretend I'm not surprised, because I thought you were a lot more sensible... but whatever you want to do, I'm going to support you.
Angela:
I knew you would. Thanks mum. See Lilith, I knew she would rather be told!
Mary-Sue:
Of course I would! I've told you both before, you can tell me anything.. and Lilith, I'm surprised with you, trying to stop her telling me.
Lilith:
I'm sorry mum, I didn't want to ruin Christmas.
Mary-Sue:
Ruin Christmas!? This has made Christmas better!

Cassandra: I don't know why I bothered getting him a phone!? He never bloody answers it! Come on, pick up! Alex, pick up!

(Phone rings)

Jennifer: Cassandra? No, why would Alex be with me? I just found it in a alleyway. What!? Oh my god! Calm down! I'll be right over, ok?

Jennifer: (Gasps)

Jennifer: John!
John:
Your just in time. I'm heading back to work...
Jennifer:
John!
John:
Jen, what is it? Are you ok?
Jennifer:
He's here!
John:
Who?
Jennifer:
Lucy's killer! He's found us! He's here!

John: Are you sure!?
Jennifer:
Of course I'm sure! He looks exactly the same. He's come to kill us too!
John:
But.. why would he!?
Jennifer:
I don't know... he didn't need a reason to kill Lucy though, did he!?
John:
Maybe he's here for another reason. Did he see you?
Jennifer:
No, luckily. We need to phone the police... oh my god, Cassandra!
John:
What about her?
Jennifer:
Alexander's gone missing. I'm supposed to be going over.
John:
Then lets go and help her.
Jennifer:
We have our own problem now!
John:
Well, we can tell the police about our concerns while Cassandra is reporting Alex as a missing person. We'll be safer at Cassandra's house anyway.
Jennifer:
Good point.

Darleen: Good luck! I'll wait up for your return. Don't worry about a thing here.
Peter:
We wont. We'll leave it all in your capable hands.
Darleen:
Just concentrate on getting them home, and I'll make this place into a winter wonderland.

Alan: Darleen, it's me... Alan!
Darleen:
Alan!?

Darleen: What on earth are you doing here?
Alan:
Are you not pleased to see me!?
Darleen:
Of course I am, but it's Christmas Eve, and I've got a lot to do. Do the clinic know you've left?
Alan:
No... I just had to see you. I was really tempted to use again, and I knew you were the only one who could help.
Darleen:
How did you find me?
Alan:
I looked on the staff computer. I had to come.
Darleen:
Well, you've come, and now you need to go back Alan.
Alan:
Are you not going to invite me in?
Darleen:
You can come in for a few minutes, while Il call you a cab.
Alan:
I don't want to go back! I want to stay here for Christmas, with you!

Darleen: Alan, get back here. You need to go back to the clinic!
Alan:
I can't go back without you!
Darleen:
Ok, ok! Come on, come in!

Darleen: Alan, remember my son? Well I'm going to see him tonight. I've waited years to see him again.
Alan:
Dirk?
Darleen:
Yes, and I have another son too, Sam. I'm seeing them both tonight, so please Alan, let me call you a taxi. It's not right for you to stay.
Alan:
(Sighs) Are you sure I can't stay?
Darleen:
My husband doesn't even want me here, so I don't think he'll be too pleased if I invite guests.
Alan:
(Sighs) I'm only going back for you.
Darleen:
Thank you Alan! I really mean that. Thank you!
Alan: You are going to come back to the clinic, aren't you?
Darleen: I don't know yet. It depends if my son's want me here. I want to be with them... but will they forgive me?
Alan: I would if I was them.
Darleen: I promise though, that if I don't come back to work I will come and visit you, ok?
Alan: I'm looking forward to it already. Hey, let me help decorate this place with you first, at least.
Darleen: (Laughs) Ok then.

PC Jones: It's going to be ok. We'll find him.
Cassandra:
It's my fault. I shouldn't of stayed out last night!
Jenifer:
Don't blame yourself Cassandra.
John:
Three kids going missing... do you think we've got a Kiddy snatcher in the neighbourhood?
PC Clark:
Dirk and Sam ran away, so no. Bingo!
Cassandra:
You've found something!? I told him chat rooms weren't safe! Why didn't he listen!?
PC Clark:
It's a good job you thought of looking, because it looks like Alex went to meet someone he thought was Bella.
Cassandra:
What!?
PC Jones:
It could actually be Bella, so we'll do a quick check on whether she's still safely locked away or not.
Jenifer:
Could myself and John have a quick word with one of you, over a different matter?
PC Jones:
Erm.. yeah, sure. Do you want to come outside a second?
John: Ok.

John: Where do we start?
Jenifer:
Well.. to cut a long story short, before we came here our daughter was killed by a man named Alan Peterson. Earlier today, I saw him, here in Pleasantview.
PC Jones:
I see.
John:
The last we heard, he was going through a rehabilitation program miles away.
Jenifer:
He was let off the murder because he was depressed.
PC Jones:
Ok, well all I can say at the moment is don't worry about it, unless there is a reason to. You might of just imagined him.
Jenifer:
I swear it was him!
PC Jones:
We've got a lot on our plates at the moment, and it doesn't help being short staffed over Christmas... so unless he shows up at your house or something, I'd try and forget about it.
Jenifer:
Something has to be done!
John::
Jenifer, she's right. I think finding Alex is much more important right now. He could of been abducted by a paedophile or something!
PC Jones:
I'm sorry Jenifer. Just stay alert.

PC Clark: Ok, Cassandra... listen to me, because this is very important! Snap out of it!
Cassandra:
(Cries) I'm sorry.. he's all I've got... I can't lose him!
PC Clark:
You haven't lost him... not yet! We've got to move quickly, because whoever was talking to Alex wasn't Bella. They just took on her identity and fooled Alex into meeting them. We could be dealing with a paedophile here Cassandra, and we have to find Alex before anything happens to him!
Cassandra:
(Cries) Oh my god!
PC Clark:
I'm going to send an investigation team out to the park right now! It's been about 6 hours, but we can hopefully still catch up with them.

Dirk: I'm glad they found us. I mean... look at this place. They've got it ready for Christmas, probably hoping we'd come back.
Sam:
Do you think they're going to tell us off?
Dirk:
(Laughs) Not until they've hugged and kissed us for hours.
Sam:
How could we ever leave them?
Dirk:
We were fools. Stupid fools.

Dirk: Were home!
Sam:
Dirk... isn't that...?
Dirk:
Mum!?

Sam: Oh my god!
Dirk:
I thought you were dead! Dad said you died of cancer. Mum!
Sam:
I can't believe this.
Dirk:
(Cries) Mum, give me a hug... Mum?
Darleen:
Shh!
Sam:
Mum it's us! Dirk and Sam!
Darleen:
Shut up a minute!

Dirk: (Cries) Are you not pleased to see us? Were pleased to see you mum! Why are you here? Where were you!?
Sam:
This has to be a dream.
Darleen:
Boys, I'm sorry. I am happy to see you... very happy! I'm happy your safe because I thought you were dead too!
Sam:
What!?
TV Reporter:
The aircraft begun to descend just five minutes after take off. The aircraft check hadn't been thorough enough, and the crew failed to pick up on the fault. Medical teams on the ground are expecting very few survivors and 84% fatalities have already been confirmed.
Dirk:
(Cries) They were coming to get us?
Darleen:
(Nods)

Sam: (Cries) They're dead, and it's our fault!
