Pleasantview - Series 4 - Episode 33 - Big Plans for Pleasantview

Mary-Sue: Sorry I'm late Andrew.
Andrew:
'Late' is a bit of an understatement. I've been standing out here in the cold for half an hour!
Mary-Sue:
I'm sorry, I had stuff to deal with.
Andrew:
'Stuff' meaning Dustin?
Mary-Sue:
He's starting to get withdrawal symptoms.
Andrew:
He's going to need some help Mary. You can't manage this alone.
Mary-Sue:
It'll be fine. Anyway, you didn't have to stand out here and freeze, you could of gone inside the prison you know.
Andrew:
I'd rather stay well away from a bunch of prisoners to be honest.
Mary-Sue:
The prisoners are still here!? The builders are going to be here any minute!
Andrew:
Well there's a lot of paperwork involved in checking them out apparently.
Mary-Sue:
Lets go and make sure they speed things up then!

Warden: Oi! I've already told you once, get in the other line!
Rex:
Make me!
Warden:
You're going to a different prison!
Rex:
No I ain't. I'm going to this one!
Warden:
I won't tell you again Rex! Do you want me to make your life hell at your new prison? Because I can very easily do that. All I'll have to do is tell everyone your real name.
Rex:
You wouldn't dare!
Warden:
Everyone listen up! The guy you've all feared during your stay here is really called.. Cyril!
Rex:
You.. you...!

Everyone: (Laughs)
Rex:
Grr! You'll be sorry for that one day pig!
Warden:
Ooh, I'm really scared.. Cyril. Now go and get in the other line or I'll be letting that slip again when I drop you off!
Mary-Sue:
Warden!
Warden:
Ah, mayor. I'll be right with you!

Warden: Sorry about that mayor.
Mary-Sue:
I really do need to get these prisoners out of here as quickly as possible. You're being paid double money today to make this run smoothly Warden.
Warden:
I do know mayor, and we're doing the best we can with the staff we have available.
Mary-Sue:
Well make your best a bit better and I'll make it a personal promise to increase the number of police in Pleasantview.
Warden:
God knows we need that. I'll do what I can.
Mary-Sue:
Thank you.

Andrew: Mary-Sue, you can't go promising things like that!
Mary-Sue:
I just did.
Andrew:
But..
Mary-Sue:
Oh Andrew, politicians lie all the time, it's part of the job. Besides I do plan on improving the police force at some point.
Andrew:
I just don't want him going to the press with this.
Mary-Sue:
You worry too much! Chill out. In fact, we all need to chill out a bit, which is why we're all going out for dinner tonight.
Andrew:
All?
Mary-Sue:
Me, you, the girls, Dustin and Beau.
Andrew:
You're going to be taking Dustin to a restaurant?
Mary-Sue:
Ah. On second thoughts, just the two of us will go.
Andrew:
Erm.. ok.

Jennifer: So, have you thought about what I said last night?
John:
I've not stopped thinking about it.
Jennifer:
And?
John:
I don't want another child right now.
Jennifer:
What? John, please. We need this!
John:
We do? Why? I'm quite happy how we are. Aren't you?
Jennifer:
I'll never be happy without Lucy! Ever since she was killed I've found myself jealous of other mothers. I just want another kid to care for.
John:
It's too soon Jen. I'm still grieving over Luce.
Jennifer:
And don't you think another child would help with that?
John:
Perhaps.
Jennifer:
Then what other excuses do you have?
John:
I just.. I don't know. I want to just wait another couple of years.
Jennifer:
Years!? I can't wait years John.
John:
Just give me more time to think, ok?
Jennifer:
(Sighs) Just don't take too long. I really want this John.
John: I know, but we shouldn't rush into a big decision.

Angela: # Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are. Oh, there you go, lets get you into your cot shall we, yes, someone's a sleepy head, isn't she?
Dustin:
You're really good with her.
Angela:
Dustin!

Angela: Were you sitting there long?
Dustin:
A while. Long enough to  hear your singing.
Angela:
(Laughs) That must of been painful.
Dustin:
Nah, you're a good singer.
Angela:
Oh no!
Dustin:
No, really.
Angela:
No, I mean, Laura's dad is here! He will just not give up.
Dustin:
You're not letting him see her?
Angela:
No, he wanted nothing to do with me while I was pregnant, now he just shows up wanting to see her all the time! He's not going to. I'll just go and send him away.

Jack: Angela, it's so good to actually see you and not your mother.
Angela:
Get lost Jack. You're not seeing Laura.
Jack:
Laura? Is that what you've called her? That's a really nice name.
Angela:
Jack, don't make me phone the police.
Jack
: I...thought... You should be pleased that I want to meet my daughter! Why are you being like this?
Angela:
Because when I got pregnant you told me to get rid of it! You can't take an interest now. It's too late!

Dustin: Look pal, she said you're not seeing Laura so you best back off.
Jack:
Oh really, and who are you to stop me seeing my daughter?
Dustin:
I'm a friend of the family, and unless you want to meet my fists I suggest you leave now.
Angela:
Dustin, there's really no need for that. I've got it under control.
Dustin:
Angela, he's scum! He doesn't care about Laura. He needs to be taught a lesson. Now get of here!
Jack:
I'm not going to give up Angela.
Dustin:
We'll see about that!

Angela: You didn't have to do that Dustin.
Dustin:
I know, but I wanted to. He doesn't deserve to see his daughter. Anyway, what was with that guy? He's not your usual type.
Angela:
You mean after you!? (Laughs) Things change Dustin. I mean, the Dustin I knew was a bit of the wild side, but I didn't think he'd ever get into drugs.
Dustin:
I didn't think I would either, but when you're on the street these things happen, and I'm going to get off them.
Angela:
You're not going to have a choice. My mums going to make sure you never inject, inhale or swallow any drug again!
Dustin:
Good.
Angela:
Lilith's taken Beau out to get a tree and we want it up and decorated before mum get's home, so go and get dressed ready.
Dustin:
Ok, ace.

Cassandra: (Gags) Oh god, I feel terrible.

Ronald: Cassandra, are you ok in there?
Cassandra:
I've got a bit of an upset stomach, it must of been something I ate.
Ronald:
Or morning sickness.
Cassandra:
Oh god, don't say that!
Ronald:
Don't you fancy a kid then?
Cassandra:
Ron, can we talk about this later!? I'm kind of busy at the moment.
Ronald:
Oh yeah, sorry (laughs).

Tony: Cassandra! Oh.. hi again. Did you stay the night?
Ronald:
Yeah, I hope you don't mind.
Tony:
No, I don't mind. It's Cassandra's house. I don't even officially live here (laughs).
Ronald:
Oh ok. Cassandra's not feeling too good. She's being sick.
Tony:
Something she ate?
Ronald:
Probably, but perhaps the patter of tiny feet are on the way.
Tony:
She might be pregnant!?

Ronald: Yup!

Tony: Oh.

Mary-Sue: I hope the builders at the prison work a bit quicker than they are here. This place still looks like a building site.
Andrew:
That's because this still is a building site.
Mary-Sue:
But by the end of January this is supposed to be thirty luxury apartments! So far all we've got is a few holes in the ground and some foundation laid.
Andrew:
There's not much they can do in this weather Mary. Anyway, you were telling me to chill out earlier, so I expect you to chill out too!
Mary-Sue:
I know, sorry. I just want my big plans for Pleasantview to start to come together. There isn't much to be proud of yet.
Andrew:
I'm sure loads of people are proud of you. You're working hard to change Pleasantview for the better.

Max: Mayor Bachelor, what a pleasant surprise.
Mary-Sue:
Hello Max. How's the work going?
Max:
Well the weathers holding us up I'm afraid. If we tried to fill the foundations with concrete now it'd set before we finished pouring it.
Mary-Sue:
But once that's in..?
Max:
It'll be all go. You'll see these apartments shoot up from the ground, I promise you.
Mary-Sue:
Good, I look forward to seeing it all done.
Max:
As do I. I saw you on the news yesterday Mayor, it was an excellent speech. What you're doing for the children is inspirational.
Mary-Sue:
(Laughs) Thank you Max. I'll come by again in a few days. Hopefully by then I'll have a bit more to look at.
Max:
I'll do my best for you Mayor.

Andrew: Where to now Mayor?
Mary-Sue:
Well I thought we'd nip over to mine, to check on the kids.
Andrew:
No, you can't do that.
Mary-Sue:
What, why? If you tell me it's not a good use of work time I'm going to throttle you..
Andrew:
No (laughs). It's just the girls asked me to make sure you didn't go home until the end of the day.
Mary-Sue:
Oh great (!). They're up to something.

Lilith: Oh wow, we've done an ace job I reckon.
Beau:
Your mums going to pleased.
Angela:
She will indeed. Lets just make sure we don't set the tree set on fire!
Lilith:
(Laughs) We'd have to be very unlucky to have that happen to us twice.
Angela:
Yeah (Laughs). What happened to Dustin? We need him to put the star on.
Beau:
I'll go and find him.
Angela:
No, it's alright. I will. You two start putting on the chocolates... I've counted them, so don't try and sneak any!
Lilith:
We wont (Winks to Beau).

Angela: Dustin?
Dustin:
Go away, leave me!
Angela:
You're struggling aren't you?
Dustin:
Just.. (groans) a bit.
Angela:
You're not supposed to be struggling alone. We're all here for you, remember?
Dustin:
I need help.. I need drugs.
Angela:
That's not the way to help you Dustin. I'm sorry.
Dustin:
Just get me some! Get me some! Now! Please! Please Angela! Please. I can't cope. I can't do this!
Angela:
You're stronger than you think Dustin. You're not going to give into your cravings. I'm going to make sure you don't. It's the only way to get off them.
Dustin:
(Cries) Please!
Angela:
I'm sorry, but no.

Daniel: Jen! Jen! Hold up!

Jennifer: Oh Hi Daniel. How are you?
Daniel:
I'm rushed off my feet to be honest.
Jennifer:
Oh yeah, I saw Kaylynn a few days ago. She said Sophie was a bit of a handful.
Daniel:
(Laughs). Yeah, she's a bit of a terrible toddler at the moment. We've not even had a chance to write our Christmas cards yet. Oh, thank you for the lovely one from you and John.
Jennifer:
That's alright.
Daniel:
Anyway, I was just wondering if you could do me a favour?
Jennifer:
Erm, what is it?
Daniel:
Well Kaylynn's just gone to the store, but I didn't put nappies on the list, and being Kaylynn she's not taken her phone so I can't tell her we need them, so I want to go to the store and get them myself to make sure we actually have some, otherwise Sophie is going to have to walk around in the nude, or were going to have to wash nappies or something. She's really doing a lot of poo at the moment. I suppose we should start potty training her soon really..

Jennifer: Daniel, get to the point (laughs).
Daniel:
Oh, sorry. Would you mind watching Sophie for a few minutes while I go to the store?
Jennifer:
(Laughs) Yeah, sure. No problem.
Daniel:
Great, she's asleep upstairs at the moment. She probably wont wake up but I obviously didn't want to leave her in alone just in case she did. I could of taken her to the store with me but I didn't want to have to wrap her up tight just to go to the store when it's only down the road..
Jennifer:
Daniel, you're babbling again (Laughs).
Daniel:
(Laughs) Sorry again. I'll be back soon.
Jennifer:
Ok, see you soon.

Tony: Ronald says you might be pregnant.
Cassandra:
Ronald is wrong.
Tony:
So you've checked?
Cassandra:
No, but I'm not pregnant. We've been careful.
Tony:
I'm going to go and get a pregnancy test.
Cassandra:
Oh come on, there's no way I'm pregnant.
Tony:
I'll be back soon!

Cassandra: There is no way I'm pregnant, I just can't be!
Tony:
We'll soon see!
Cassandra:
I'm not pregnant!
Ronald:
But what if you are?
Cassandra: I wouldn't think twice about it. I could never have another abortion...

Cassandra: My brother gets murdered and now I find out I'm pregnant with a rapists child!
Tina:
We'll arrest the man who did this to you Cassandra, but it's best if you decide what to do with the child right away. Would you like an abortion?
Cassandra: I can't think about this right now! It's too much.
Tina: Would you be ale to love a baby that was conceived in such a terrible way?
Tony: Tina, would you mind leaving me with Cassandra for a while please.
Tina: Oh, ok.

Tony: Cassandra, I know the last few days have been tragic for you. I feel so so sorry for you, after everything that's happened. I know it's a big decision to make, choosing whether to have this baby, but this kids father is going to be locked up. We know where he lives and were going to send people round there right away. The kid will probably never get to know their father, and I'm sure you wouldn't want them to after what he did to you.
Cassandra:
I really don't agree with abortions. I just can't do it.
Tony: What if the baby looks like him Cassandra? Would you be able to love it? Every time you'd look at it, it would bring back memories of what happened.
Cassandra: I just don't know. I feel filthy having it inside me already.
Tony: Then let us help you.

Tony: It's all going to be ok. I promise you. You're not a bad person for making this decision Cassandra. He's the bad guy and he's going to get punished. We'll make sure of that.
Cassandra:
I just feel so alone. Maybe I should keep the baby.. it's all I've got now.
Tony: That's the wrong reason to have a baby. You want be alone forever, you can have a baby with a man you love. You can have a kid that'll have a proper father.
Cassandra: I suppose that's true. (Cries) I just can't believe Alex is gone.
Tony: I know darling. I'm so sorry.

Jennifer: Aren't you a pretty girl? You've got your daddy's hair, haven't you? I used to have a little girl like you, and then she got taken away from me. I wish she was still here.

Tony: Tina! Tina! I'm going to have to delay telling Cassandra for a bit longer. It turns out she could be pregnant. Tina? You here?

Tony: Oh no. God no!

Cassandra: Hey Tina. If you're looking for Tony then I'm afraid he's just nipped out.
Tina:
I'm not looking for him actually. I've come to see you.
Cassandra:
Oh, really? What about?
Tina:
I have something to tell you about Tony.

Daniel: Oh, you beat me back.
Kaylynn:
Where've you been?
Daniel:
Didn't Jennifer tell you?
Kaylynn:
Jennifer?
Daniel:
I left her here looking after Sophie.
Kaylynn:
What? Well, they're not here now.
Daniel:
Then where are they? Has she left a note?
Kaylynn:
I've not seen one.
Daniel:
I'll give her a call.

Daniel: Hey Jen, it's Daniel. Where are you? Jen? Hello?
Kaylynn: Where is she?
Daniel: She hung up.

Jennifer: I think we'll hit the shops tomorrow Sophie. I could do with a new mobile.
